In April 2018, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery in Exeter celebrated its 150th anniversary. To mark this milestone the museum commissioned me to produce a visual image encapsulating its essence: timelines, artefacts and
exhibitions that makes the museum one of the most popular visitor experiences of its kind, appealing to local residents and visitors, alike.
I was delighted to be chosen to create the image. Rather than devise a concise logo I felt that the image should be one that was both informative and visually exciting. In addition, the image had to fulfil an eye-catching merchandising role, reproduced on T-shirts, mugs, pens and postcards on sale in the museum shop.
